Katarina Witt, born on December 3rd, 1965 was born in Staaken. The constant quest for new challenges leads her to explore different work fields and gain experience across a variety of fields including acting, writing, producing as well as presenting, and figure skating. After her 1988 World Championships Katarina Witt ends her highly successful career as an amateur for the time being. In the following three years, she headlines alongside Brian Boitano (World Champion, Calgary Olympic Champion) her first US as well as Canadian professional tours. For the first time since 10 years, the Madison Square Garden shows a skating show featuring figure skaters, titled "Witt and Boitano Skating". The event was so popular that it sold out the Madison Square Garden for a complete performance. The show returns her as a competitor to the Olympic Games at Lillehammer, 1994 to make her third appearance. For 10 years, she traveled through the US as well as Canada through the television shows "Stars on Ice", "Champions on Ice", and participated in several professional international competitions. She is the creative mind behind a variety of international Ice Shows that she designs, develops, headlines and produces with her own production firm, WITH WITT. It is the leader in the skating production business, producing shows as "Divas of Ice", "Katarina & Friends", Enjoy Stars and Winter Magic", for US TV and German Television.
