Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for being the pioneer of research into witnesses from children as well as memories of eyewitnesses within legal contexts. Professor Goodman publishes widely has received several grants, and has been honored with many award both international and national. She has advised a variety of government institutions and authorities across the globe on policies as well as research related to the care of children who are victims through the legal system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as it was the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Additionally, she is a founding participant of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the America Psychological Association's Developmental Division as well as Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
